Here at COLES School of Motoring we understand that learning comes from within and that our pupils thoughts and feelings are what forge their behaviour. by analising this we can make our pupils safer drivers during the more relaxed and comfortable lesson surroundings that we offer.

 Essential Tips for Beginners

Licences can take 4 to 6 weeks to process. Apply in good time to ensure you can start training on the date you would like..

The Theory Test should not be considered an easy test. Study hard and pass your Theory Test as soon as you are ready.

Theory training can be done prior to your 17th birthday. There are lots of free applications out there. Don't just use Apps on your phone. Publications like The Highway Code, Know your Traffic signs and Driving-The Essential Skills are also recommended reading.

A Practical Driving Test CAN NOT BE BOOKED until you pass your theory test. Do not let the theory become a stumbling block!

COVID-19 Restrictions

We encourage candidates testing positive for COVID-19 up to 5 days before their driving test not to attend their test to reduce the spread of the virus.

Pupils should email us at customerservices@dvsa.gov.uk with the subject title ‘COVID-19 short notice cancellation’ to rearrange their test.

You or your pupil will need to include the following information in the email:

their driving licence number
their driving test booking reference number

We will then contact you or your pupil to help rearrange the test. Your pupil will not have to pay again.
